Beschreibung
Das VCS von Atari war das dominierende Videosystem der 1970er und frühen 1980er Jahre. Ein Grund für den Erfolg lag an den verfügbaren Spielen. Die Spiele von Atari, die bisher nur in den Spielhallen liefen, wurden nun auch für dieses System entwickelt.
Bis 1992 wurden ca. 30 Millionen Konsolen verkauft.
